Janice I. of Napa California had water gray water entering her crawlspace. Her first clue something was off is when her house was smelling musty when the heater was running and a lingering smell in the vents. The next clue was the dining room floor was warping. It started to look like a pitchers mound! They decided to take a peek into the crawlspace, to see what in the world was going on, and when they opened the door they were hit with a strong nasty garbage smell. All this lead her to know something was amiss under the home and was looking forward to finding out why this was happening. She hopped on google and Clean Crawl Space on Yelp and Nextdoor. She was so impressed by our excellent rating that she was happy to go with us knowing she was getting the absolute best service.
Our sales rep, Florencio, was excited to go and assess the situation so we could get this problem solved. After introducing himself, he suited up and headed into the crawlspace. His attention was immediately trained on the massive amount of greywater in the crawlspace. He immediately noticed a leak from a pipe under the home. As seen in the picture, there was a rusted out pipe that had several holes in it. He continued to do a full inspection of the crawlspace making sure there were no other issues.
The report:
There was a rusted out pipe that was leaking grey water into the crawlspace contaminating the soil and causing an awful smell. This had been leaking for a while because there was a lot of mold growing around the greywater.
The solution:
1. Remove the greywater
2. Sanitize the entire crawlspace and clean the musty, nasty air.
3. Have a plumber come and replace the pipe.
With the plan laid out and the source of the greywater turned off, our crews got to work. They first started by removing the gray water via a pump truck. Then they used Hepa vacuums to remove any contaminated soil, mold, or fungus. Then they sprayed a solution to kill any residual mold/fungus present. All the while running HEPA filters to remove any contaminants going into the air so as to protect the home and homeowner. These HEPA filters also clean the air in the crawlspace. Now with the crawlspace clean and sanitized a plumber came and replaced the pipe.
The homeowner so so happy to finally have this problem solved and her home protected! Another job well done by all the crew at Clean CrawlSpace Inc.
